100 Years of the Vote

This Week’s Call-to-Action | Aug. 10, 2020

Date:

Despite enthusiasm for voting being near an all-time high, new voter registration is down in 2020 due to the Coronavirus.

For most states, voters must be registered by early-to-mid October to cast a ballot. This means there are only about eight weeks until voter registration deadlines for this November’s presidential election.

For women to showcase their electoral power this fall, we need as many people registered as possible.

This week’s call-to-action is straightforward:
1. Visit this registration guide from Harpers Bazaar.
2. Find your state’s registration page.
3. Share that link with at least three friends who don’t normally vote.

BONUS:
Email us and let us know how many friends you registered. The person with the highest total number will be featured on our Instagram account next week.

P.S. Stay tuned to our blog this week for a historical look at how the Women’s Suffrage movement evolved before, during, and after the 19th Amendment.
